CPR Certifications

1 of a Kind Medical Services CPR courses are approved by the American Heart Association. CPR is only only offered in our Fayetteville office and teach adult and infant/child resuscitation, the proper use of an Automated External Defibrillators (AED), choking relief, and the bag mask method .

BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers

This course is offered to all health care providers who must have a credential documenting successful completion of a CPR course.

Curriculum Includes

  •  Adult, child rescue breathing 
  • Adult, child CPR/AED – 1 Rescuer 
  • Adult, child CPR/AED – 2 Rescuers 
  • Adult, child relief of choking 
  • Adult, child bag-mask use 
  • Infant rescue breathing
  • Infant CPR 
  • Infant relief of choking
  • Infant bag-mask use  

 

Following completion of training, a written exam and skills test will be administered. Course Completion Cards will be issued for students who score an 84% or above and pass the skills test.

Tuition, Fees, & Requirements

  • $70.00 for New or Re-Certification 
  • A $20.00 non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is required to register.
  • CPR Certification must be renewed every 2 years.

HeartSaver CPR & First Aid

This course is offered to all non-health care providers and others who must have a credential documenting successful completion of a CPR course.

Curriculum Includes

 

  • Adult first aid (first aid basics, medical emergencies, and injury emergencies) 
  • Adult/Child CPR with mask 
  • Adult/Child AED 
  • Environmental emergencies 
  • Infant CPR with mask 

 

Following completion of training, a skills test will be administered. Course Completion Cards will be issued for students who complete course and pass skills test.

  • Is PRN or 1 of a Kind Medical Services a licensed school?


    Yes, PRN or 1 of a Kind Medical Services  is licensed and certified by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education and the American Heart Association.

  • What grade is required to be eligible for a course completion card?


    At the end of the course, a written exam and a skills test will be administered. In order to be awarded a course completion card, students must score 84%.

  • How often will I need to renew my certification?


    You will have to renew your CPR certification every 2 years. The cost to renew is $70.00 for BLS and $90 for HeartSaver CPR, AED & First Aid.

  • Will I learn how to perform CPR on children?


    Yes, students are taught adult, child, and infant CPR with bag mask training, choking, as well as adult and child AED.
